EXCELLENT EDUCATION IS OUR MISSION
The EAST/WEST Functional Integration Teacher Training is designed to produce insightful and effective Functional Integration (FI) practitioners. In the training you will come to recognize your own creative learning strategies and how to engender the process of self-discovery in others. As a graduate, you will understand and embody the underlying principles of this revolutionary method , and have the understanding necessary to continue to create dramatic improvement in yourself and your students. You will also be eligible to be professionally certified by the Feldenkrais Guild of North America. .
Starting from the essential Feldenkrais principle of "learning how to learn," students will participate in hundreds of hours of ATM lessons. Building on this experiential learning, we will broaden the learning process through theoretical study, lesson analysis, creative projects and teaching practice. Areas of study will include the neurological, biological and psychological aspects of the Feldenkrais Method. Professional support in marketing and online teaching will be included in the curriculum.
AN ENVIRONMENT DESIGNED FOR LEARNING
Training participants will find themselves immersed in the rich practice of FI and ATM for much of the training day, and will discover how much it is possible to learn, develop and improve with this deep immersion in a safe and comfortable environment.
There will be no rote learning, and it is assumed that students will progress at different rates. The directors of the EAST/WEST Functional Integration Training are committed to creating a noncompetitive and highly supportive atmosphere in which motivated participants may thrive. The training will be a safe and productive learning environment for all participants, including those from historically marginalized groups.
